The 2nd Session of the 15th National Assembly took place as the COVID-19 pandemic was gradually being brought under control. According to the evening news report on October 19, 2021, measures to restore socio-economic development are currently being prioritized. Voters expressed their confidence that, with the National Assembly and the Government working together, effective solutions to economic recovery would be put forward.
During this session, the National Assembly decided to hold a separate discussion on COVID-19 prevention and control in order to conduct a comprehensive assessment and work with the Government to ensure coordinated implementation of laws and policies, as well as appropriate measures for the period of socio-economic recovery following the pandemic. It can be seen that from the first session until now, the National Assembly and the Government have continued to closely coordinate with each other, particularly in exceptional circumstances.

The spirit of cooperation was demonstrated through Resolution No. 30 of the National Assembly, which granted the Government special powers and mechanisms in COVID-19 prevention and control. At the same time, the National Assembly Standing Committee held an extraordinary session to issue policies supporting workers and employers affected by COVID-19 through the Unemployment Insurance Fund, enabling the Government to provide VND 38 trillion in support to those facing difficulties.
According to Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, a 15th-term National Assembly Deputy, the Government and the National Assembly have coordinated very effectively, with resolutions being promptly followed by synchronized implementation measures. This has brought great encouragement to people across all social groups and professions. Amid the pandemic, with limited government resources, both businesses and citizens believed that the efforts of the Party and the Government would contribute to helping the entire country overcome the pandemic.
