On September 4th, 2019, on the occasion of new school year 2019 – 2020 and the National Day, a newly-built school was inaugurated at Ca village, Cong Da commune, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang province, thanks for the support from donators, called by VOV1 (the News Department of the Voice of Vietnam).
The inauguration was attended by the provincial Member of Standing Committee – Head of the Propaganda Department Ta Duc Tuyen; Vice President of Tuyen Quang People’s Committee Nguyen The Giang; Deputy General Director of VOV Ngo Minh Hien, together with leaders from the Department of Eduction and Training, provincial television and newspapers, and sponsor representatives.
Cong Da is a commune that lives in extreme difficulties. To support the local children continue their study, improve the living, nurturing and education conditions, this kindergarten construction started in early June and was completed after 3 months with the total area of 200m2, including 2 good quality classrooms for almost 50 pupils, a kitchen, a closed toilet and a safe playground. The school and donated gifts value nearly 1 billion dong, thanks to the joining support from VOV1, enterprises and donators. Halcom Vietnam sponsored furniture including desks, chairs, closets, TV, shelves… at the amount of about 58,000,000 VND. Other sponsors such as Jetstar Pacific, Vietinbank, Vinamilk, Kim Dong Publishing House… supported on building expense and gifts i.e. water purifier, milk, books.
Mr. Ma Van Bac, a local father, shared happily, “We had an old school previously, but the school status was so bad. Parents like me are so grateful to VOV1 and sponsors who help us build up a brand new and clean school for the local children.”
On the same day, in co-operation with VOV1, Ha Dong General Hospital organized a free health examination and drug providing for about 300 people including the old, children, ethnic citizen, families with difficulties, the disables…
The children’s brightening eyes of enjoying a beautiful and safe school will be the motivation for Halcom Vietnam, and other sponsors as well, to continue our support for the community and the sustainable development of the society.
