On the afternoon of 10 December, at the National Assembly House, the Committee on Science, Technology and Environment held a conference to review and summarize its work during the 15th National Assembly term. The conference took place in a solemn atmosphere, providing an opportunity to review the Committee’s efforts in legislation, supervision, and policy recommendations on key issues related to science, technology, environment, and digital transformation amid significant changes and challenges facing the country.
Speaking at the conference, Ms. Nguyen Thanh Hai – Chairwoman of the National Assembly’s Committee on Science, Technology and Environment emphasized that during the past term, the Committee and its delegates had “completed a tremendous volume of work with many outstanding achievements and milestones.” She also acknowledged the collective efforts, high sense of responsibility, and persistent dedication of each delegate throughout the term, which contributed to promoting and advancing many breakthrough policy initiatives.
As part of the conference, the National Assembly Standing Committee presented Certificates of Merit to honor delegates with outstanding achievements. This was a meaningful recognition of their valuable contributions to the National Assembly’s legislative and supervisory activities.
Among the honored delegates, National Assembly delegate Nguyen Quang Huan — Chairman of the Board of Directors of Halcom Vietnam JSC — was highly recognized for his active contributions to the Committee’s activities. With practical experience in the fields of water resources, environment, and sustainable infrastructure development, he has provided many constructive recommendations, contributing to the improvement of policies in a direction that is both science-based and closely aligned with practical realities.
