On August 27, at the headquarters of the Nghia Do Ward Party Committee (Hanoi), Comrade Nguyen Quang Huan – Secretary of the Party Committee and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Halcom Vietnam JSC was honored to receive the 30-year Party Membership Badge.
Previously, Comrade Tran Dinh Khai – a founding member and veteran Party member of Halcom Vietnam JSC – was authorized by the former Dong Da District Party Committee to receive the 55-year Party Membership Badge through the Halcom Party Committee. On the morning of August 28, the Party Committee of Halcom Vietnam JSC visited and presented the Badge to Comrade Tran Dinh Khai at his home on the occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the National Day of September 2.
Joining the ranks of the Party at a time when the country was facing numerous challenges and the socialist bloc in Eastern Europe was entering a period of decline, with the Soviet Union having just dissolved, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan remained deeply committed to the Party’s ideology and ideals. Even after leaving the state sector to establish Halcom Vietnam JSC in 2001, together with the company’s leadership, he mobilized Party members and submitted a request to establish a Party cell within the enterprise. The Party cell has consistently served as a core force, accompanying the company in implementing its aspirations and development vision.
Starting as a water supply and drainage consulting company, Halcom Vietnam has expanded into various fields, including renewable energy and solid waste treatment. The company has developed and operated many important projects, contributing to the goal of sustainable development. Notable projects include the Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power Plant in Gia Lai – one of the first wind power projects in Vietnam – as well as the Hoa An Solar Power Plant in Can Tho and clean water supply projects in Bac Ninh and Gia Lai, providing safe water sources for tens of thousands of households.
Alongside investment activities, the company places strong emphasis on building a transparent governance foundation. Halcom is among the few private enterprises in Vietnam to have developed a Code of Conduct based on the World Bank’s (WB) integrity policies, together with solutions promoting digital transformation and sustainable development (ESG). Through these efforts, Halcom has not only improved its business performance but also built the image of a green, socially responsible enterprise with strong credibility among the community.

In the coming period, Halcom aims to continue making strong investments in clean energy, water supply and drainage, environmental solutions, and digital transformation, while building a strong corporate culture and creating an environment where employees can maximize their capabilities. These strategic directions not only align with the national strategy for sustainable development but also help Halcom strengthen its position in an increasingly dynamic and competitive market.
Under the leadership of Secretary of the Party Committee Nguyen Quang Huan, the Halcom Party Committee has grown stronger, with a total of 36 Party members. During the 2020–2025 term, the Party Committee admitted many new members, and currently three Party members have been awarded Party Membership Badges of more than 30 years. Regularly, all staff members and Party members participate in studying Party resolutions and thoroughly implementing Party directives. This close coordination has provided Halcom with a strong political and ideological foundation, contributing to the company’s sustainable development.

For Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, political commitment and innovative thinking have always gone hand in hand. Beyond his role as an entrepreneur, Mr. Huan has actively participated in and made significant contributions as a National Assembly Delegate and a member of the Presidium of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front. Through his frequent practical recommendations and policy proposals, he has contributed to shaping the development path of the private economic sector in Vietnam’s new stage of national development.
