During the National Assembly of Vietnam’s discussion session on 30 October 2025, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan — a National Assembly delegate representing Ho Chi Minh City and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Halcom Vietnam JSC — addressed the VND 20 trillion budget allocation for science and technology development, including funding related to scientific research activities.
He noted that although VND 20 trillion has been allocated for science and technology development, the current mechanisms for selecting research projects and disbursing funds remain traditional and have not yet sufficiently encouraged innovative applications. As a result, these resources have not been fully leveraged to achieve their maximum effectiveness.
