On the morning of March 5, 2022, Halcom Vietnam JSC. held a ground-breaking ceremony of The Water Supply System in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Binh Dinh province. This is the next project in the province invested by Halcom Vietnam, following the Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power Plant project.
The total investment of the project is 1,140 billion dong with an area of 25ha. This project inclues 3 phases:
- Phase 1 (water plant – 2020-2023) will use up to approx. 1.57 ha. Capacity: 10,000 m3/day
- Phase 2 (2023-2025). Capacity: up to 20,000 m3/day
- Phase 3 (2026-2030). Capacity: up to 50,000 m3/day
The project uses surface water of Dai An river, a branch of Kon river with the basin of over 3,000 km2. The water supply from this river is abundant and sufficient for this project, which meets the post-treatment clean water standard of Ministry of Public Health. It is guaranteed that the clean water treatment technology achieve the required standard of QCVN 02:2009/BYT regarding domestic water quality proposed by top experts on clean water from Finland. An environment monitoring program was approved for this project to ensure the check of environmental quality on the basis of the approved ETR.
The Water Supply System in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone will come into operation from Q1/2023 and will supply water for the industrial, commercial and service demands of the whole Zone, which satisfies the planned development of large-scale eco-tourism and concentrated urban residential areas of the region, as well as contribute sto accelerating the realization of the approved Master Plan of Nhon Hoi Economic Zone and construction Master Plan of Quy Nhon city and the surroundings to 2035, vision to 2050
