HALCOM SUCESSFULLY ORGANIZED TRAININGS ON CORPORATE COMPLIANCE PROGRAM (CCP) FOR ALL STAFF IN HANOI (13/10/2014)

In the two days of 11 and 12 October, 2014 in Hanoi, the Company organized a “Corporate Compliance program (CCP)” training program for entire staff and specialists of the Company’s projects. This was the next activity in the program under the cooperation framework agreement signed between the World Bank (WB) and Ha Long Investment and Consulting JSC (HALCOM), which is aimed at strengthening the understanding of knowledge, improvement of processes, internal regulations to help HALCOM better meet international and World Bank standards.

The CCP training program for all employees and specialists of the Company this time was the next activity after the training program held for key staff of the Company in July 2014. The next training session for the Company’s Mien Tay branch will be held in Can Tho on 18-19 October 2014.

Opening in the training, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan – General Director of the Company talked to all staff the purpose and value of the CCP program that will bring to HALCOM. He believes that if this program is implemented and applied into operational processes, HALCOM will surely implement a clear development strategy in a transparent fashion in every operation to enhance the credibility of the World Bank and achieve sustainable development in the future.

In the training session, the Compliance Advisor of the World Bank, Mrs. Jacqueline M. Beckett has trained and given instructions on CCP application into actual procedures, regulations and other related issues to entire staff and consultants of the Company. The training session was integrated with questions, real situations, and intuitive games, contributing to the coherence between staff in the Company, and on the other hand, transmit the program content more efficiently.

After two training sessions, entire of the Board of Management and staff of the Company together committed to adhere to the Corporate Compliance Program. This is to confirm that HALCOM will be transparent in every business operations, say NO with negative actions and corruption, and strictly comply with regulations of the World Bank with the purpose of building a wholesome and sustainable business environment.
