Hanoi, June 22nd, 2020 – The EPC contract of Hau Giang solar power plant project was officially signed by Halcom Vietnam and GE (General Electric) – IPC Group at Halcom VN head-office.
Hau Giang solar power plant, with the capacity of 29 MWac, will be constructed in a 33-ha area at hamlet 8, Hoa An commune, Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province. The project is invested by VKT-Hoa An, a member company of Halcom Vietnam.
According to the signed contract, GE Grid Solutions, LLC USA will supply solar power engineered equipment and provide supervision & commissioning services, and IPC Group, with extensive EPC experience of solar power projects in Vietnam, will execute the engineering and construction work.
At the ceremony, Mr.Saurabh Mathur, CEO of Halcom Vietnam, highly appreciated the hard-working and negotiation efforts of all parties, and expressed strong belief of the project investor that Halcom – GE – IPC Group co-operation will make the project successful and achieve COD by December, 2020 as scheduled.
On behalf of the contractors, Mr. Prakash Chandra, CEO of GE Renewable Energy – Hybrid Solutions, Ms. Phan Thi Vuong, Senior Sales Director, Hybrids – Solar of GE Vietnam; and Mr. Phi Phong Ha, Chairman of IPC Group emphasized on the highest commitment on the project quality and construction schedule, and hoped that all parties will have further co-operation opportunities in the future.
Hau Giang solar power plant project is at site clearance process and plans to achieve COD by December, 2020. This is the 2nd renewable energy project of Halcom Vietnam, after Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power Plant (located in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Binh Dinh Province), and is the Company’s next step in creating the clean energy for sustainable development.
