Forum on “Privatization of investment in water sector: Opportunities and challenges”

On April 22, 2021 in Hanoi, Enternews magazine and the Vietnam Association of Water and Environment (AWATEN) held an online broadcast forum with the topic: “Privatization of investment in water sector: Opportunities and challenges”. The forum focused on the following issues: the current situation of the water and sanitation sector in Vietnam; the benefit assessment of current clean water technology project; solutions on mechanisms and policies, investment, public private partnership (PPP), interdisciplinary and planning; the demand of monopoly removal and calling for social investment from actual demands and international experience.

Press Release – The Inauguration Ceremony of Hau Giang Solar Power Plant

On March 12, 2021, the Hau Giang Solar Power Plant invested by Halcom Vietnam JSC. and its partner, Shizen Energy Group (Japan) was officially inaugurated in Hoa An commune, Phung Hiep district, Hau Giang province. The plant has a capacity of 35 MWp and produce about 50,800 MWh per annum. This is the first solar power operation in Hau Giang, contributing to the efficient exploitation of the provincial solar radiation potential and in line with the development strategy of renewable energy in Vietnam, following the Politburo’s Resolution 55-NQ/TW, as well as general planning for solar power in the province.

Vietnam among top three leading nations in renewable energy shift in Asia Pacific

According to the IHS Markit’s index, Australia leads the index with 89 percent of capacity under construction being either wind, solar or biomass power, followed by Japan. The third place in the region is taken by Vietnam, which leads emerging markets, as the country promoted feed-in tariffs to attract investment in solar and wind power.

The inauguration ceremony of Na Ma school in Bac Kan Province

On Jan 8, 2021, the News Department (VOV1) and the Music Department (VOV3) from VOV cooperated with the People’s Committee of Ba Be District, Bac Kan Province to hold an inauguration ceremony the Na Ma school of Phuc Loc kindergarten, Ba Be district. Seminar: Funding solutions for green energy projects

On the morning of December 29, 2020, the seminar “Solutions to attract capital for green energy projects” took place in Hanoi with delegates from research institutes, government departments as well as enterprises and banks in Vietnam. The aims of the seminar are to promote the exploitation and efficient use of domestic renewable energy sources as well as to gradually increase the share of renewable energy in the national energy production and consumption.
