During a a joint working mission to Binh Dinh, as part of the EU’s energy sector policy support program to Vietnam, on 8 October, 2020, EU Ambassador Giorgio Aliberti and Vice Minister of Trade and Industry Hoang Quoc Vuong visited some renewable project sites in the province including Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power Plant at Nhon Hoi Economic Zone. Vice President of provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Phi Long and leaders of related departments accompanied in the visit.
Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power Plant Project, invested by Central Wind Power Jsc. (a member company of Halcom Vietnam Jsc.), has the total investment of 43 million USD. The plant includes 6 wind turbines with a total capacity of 21 MW installed on a total area of 122 hectares. This project has been completed and connected to the national grid, providing 70 million kWh per year on average. In the first 9 months of this year, the plant generated 25 million KWh. The delegation also visited Fujiwara Binh Dinh Solar Power Plant project.
The Vice Minister of Trade and Industry appreciated the efforts of investors who have implemented the project as per committed timeline, quickly put the project into operation. The Vice Minister requested Binh Dinh People’s Committee to continuously pay attention to and give conditions for plants to operate efficiently, contributing to the electric energy source for the provincial socio-economy, reducing the greenhouse effect and the negative impacts. environmental protection, creating a friendliness in building a bright, green, beautiful and sustainable image of Binh Dinh.
