Hau Giang – 8th July, 2020, Mr.Nguyen Van Tuan, Vice Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee, had a survey visit to the construction site of Hau Giang solar power plant (Hoa An commune, Phung Hiep district), together with officers from related departments.
Hau Giang solar power plant, with the capacity of 29 MWac in a 33-ha area, is invested by VKT – Hoa An Solar Power Jsc. This first solar power project in the province is expected to complete construction and integrate into the national electrical grid by December 2020. The plant will contribute to the effective exploitation of solar radiation potential in Hau Giang, follows Vietnam renewable energy development strategy and the provincial solar power plan. Currently the site clearance work is under progress. On behalf of the project investor, Mr.Nguyen Viet Dzung, Director of VKT-Hoa An, said that the 110kV line construction will be completed by November 2020. First solar panels will arrive in Vietnam in September, 2020.
Mr. Nguyen Van Tuan appreciated the support from local departments and efforts of both investor and contractors to implement the project in time and professionally.
