On August 28, 2023, at the company office, Halcom Vietnam Joint Stock Company held a ceremony to sign a contract with the Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Foreign Trade of Vietnam – Hoan Kiem Branch (Vietcombank Hoan Kiem) financing the Water Supply System in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Binh Dinh Province (Phase 1). Attending the signing ceremony were representatives of leaders of Halcom Vietnam, Vietcombank Hoan Kiem and staff of both sides.
The Water Supply System in Nhon Hoi Economic Zone, Binh Dinh Province began construction in March 2022 and is the second project in Binh Dinh Province invested by Halcom Vietnam, following the Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power Plant which went into operation in the early 2020. The project has a total design capacity of 50,000 m3/day and night, including 03 phases, in which, phase 1, with a capacity of 10,000 m3/day and night, was expected to come into operation in 2024. The project aims to supply water for the industrial, commercial and service demands of the whole Economic Zone, creating favorable conditions for the development of the local economy, tourism and services. According to the signed contract, Vietcombank Hoan Kiem will provide the project with 120 billion VND, contributing to the financial capacity of Halcom Vietnam during the phase 1 project implementation.
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Halcom Vietnam shared about the project implementation process, appreciating the trust, cooperation and companionship of Vietcombank Hoan Kiem in the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Water Supply System project and hoping that this initial project will open up opportunities for cooperation between the two sides in the field of green and sustainable development.
Mr. Thieu Quang Hiep, Director of Vietcombank Hoan Kiem, expressed his gratitude to the Board of Directors of Halcom Vietnam for choosing the Bank’s services. This is the first financing project signed by the Branch in 2023, in the context of a difficult economy and slow credit growth. Mr. Hiep expects the both sides will continue to expand the project portfolio and cooperation in the future.
The signing ceremony of the contract financing the Nhon Hoi Economic Zone Water Supply System project marks the strategic cooperation between Vietcombank Hoan Kiem and Halcom Vietnam. The leaders of the two sides believe that this cooperation relationship will continue to be strengthened, promoting the strengths of each side, not only bringing economic values but also creating more and more important projects, contributing to increasing convenience and benefits for customers of both sides and the whole society.
