Halcom Vietnam successfully organizes 2020 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders

On 27 September, 2020, Halcom Vietnam Jsc. organized  the 2020 Annual General Meeting of Shareholders at Fortuna Hotel, Ba Dinh, Hanoi. The meeting was participated by members of the Board of Directors (BOD), Board of Execution, Board of Controlling and Shareholders.

At the meeting, Mr.Nguyen Quang Huan, Chairman of Halcom Vietnam Jsc., on behalf of the BOD, presented on 2019 financial year business results and 2020 financial year business plan. The presentation was continued by 2019 activity report by the Board of Controlling. Halcom Vietnam has achieved remarkable success in the clean energy field in 2019. Specifically, in Quarter I/2020, Phuong Mai 3 Wind Power plant officially achieved COD after 2 years of construction, with the capacity of 21 MW, investment fund of 43 million USD, being the first wind power plant operation in Binh Dinh province. In late 2019, the Hau Giang solar power plant project was successfully acquired by Halcom Vietnam. The PV plant, with the capacity of 35 MWp on a 33-ha area, is currently under construction with the target to achieve COD by December, 2020. In the consulting field, the company has been conducting effectively in the role of the main consulting firm of affiliated with foreign consulting firms.

According to the audited financial report of 2019, Halcom achieved the key business results as below:

  • Total revenue of 337.5 billion dongs
  • Undistributed profit after tax of 9 billion dongs
  • Dividend payment ratio in shares: 1.5%

On the strategic business development in 3 – 5 years, Mr.Huan emphasized on the investment target of achieving the minimum clean energy capacity of 300 MW and the investment of at least 5 projects on Wind & Solar power, Waste-to-energy, Property and Water plant with the total investment fund of approximately 6,000 – 7,000 billion dongs. In the consulting field, Halcom Vietnam will continously promote its strengths in ODA projects of infrastructure development, environmental and social safeguard policies, with a target of 100-billion-dong revenue in the Southeast Asia markets and 50-billion-dong revenue in the local market.

2020 business plan was voted and approved at the meeting with key targets as below:

  • Total revenue of 313,8 billion dongs
  • Profit after tax of 15,1 billion dongs
  • Dividend payment ratio: 2%

Q&A session recorded shareholders’ opinions and concerns in order to make reasonable adjustments for the most effective business execution in 2020. The Annual General Meeting of Shareholders ended with the agreement, belief and effort recognition among participants on the “green” and sustainable development strategy of the Company.
