Halcom Vietnam accompanied the Vietnam Fatherland Front to assist people in floodplain areas in Quang Binh and Quang Tri

On December 7, 2020, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee (VFFCC) Mr. Tran Thanh Man led the delegation to visit and give presents for the local that need support in the Trieu Thanh commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province and Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province. Accompanying the delegation were Mr. Le Quang Tung, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Quang Tri province and Mr. Vu Dai Thang, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee of Quang Binh province and leaders of the local VNFCC. Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, Member of the VNFCC, Chairman of Halcom Vietnam Jsc. also accompanied on the trip and gave 100 gifts to people suffering from floods.

In Quang Tri province, President Tran Thanh Man gave the 2nd time support to the province with the amount of 5 billion VND, and presented 100 gifts as well as 5 solidarity houses for families with heavy losses in Tan Duc village, Trieu Thanh commune, Trieu Phong district, Quang Tri province – one of the places used to be considered a “navel flood” when storms came after storm, floods came after flood. In just 2 consecutive months, 7 strong storms and 6 floods attacked the province, that cause the huge damage. There are a lot of work to help people here recover after the disaster. The floods in the province made 53 people dead, 1 missing and 37 injured. Estimated total value of damage is about 4,250 billion VND.

Mr. Nguyen Quang Huan, Member of the Central Committee of Vietnam Fatherland Front, Chairman of Halcom Vietnam JSC. presented 50 gifts worth 100 million VND to people in Quang Tri.

The delegation also visited and gave presents to two families of martyrs who died in search and rescue work in the Rao Trang 3 Hydropower area and the 337 Economic and Defense Team 337. Chairman Tran Thanh Man was strong in Quang Tri province. Priority should be given to overcoming floods, helping people to deploy the winter-spring crop in the coming time and paying attention to the welfare of the people so that everyone can welcome the Lunar New Year warmly.

On the same day, the delegation also visited and learned about the damage caused by natural disasters in Loc Thuy commune, Le Thuy district, Quang Binh province, giving 3 presents worth 40 million VND each to 3 households whose houses completely collapsed. In addition, they donated 100 gifts worth VND 2.2 million each to households damaged after floods and VND 5 billion to Quang Binh province to overcome the consequences of storms and floods. The delegation proposed provincial party government of all level should pay more attention to the severely damaged households, who do not have a place to live to focus on repairing and rebuilding houses for people before the Lunar New Year. The localities focus on promoting and restoring production for people in the winter-spring crop 2020-2021, supporting students to continue to go to school, determined not to let any children quit school after storms and floods, focusing on the environment. distributing the relief goods according to regulations, publicity and transparency.
