Halcom Vietnam awarded scholarships to poor students in Thai Nguyen

On the morning of September 4, 2023, Van Lang Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities Semi-boarding School collaborated with the Seed Project – The project of sowing dreams, cultivating dreams from love to organize the program “My dream”. Attending with event were Mr. Nguyen Lam Thanh, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly’s Ethnic Council, member of the National Assembly of Thai Nguyen province; Mr. Vu Quang Dung, Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of Dong Hy District People’s Committee, and donors of the program. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Dat, Director of the Consulting Business, representative of Halcom Vietnam Joint Stock Company, attended and awarded scholarships to poor students.

With the motto “Hope – Light – Future”, the Seed Project was initiated and implemented by teachers and students from the capital Hanoi to support ethnic minority students in mountainous areas who are trying to realize their dreams by overcoming difficult circumstances to make good achievements in their education.

Van Lang Ethnic Minority Semi-Boarding School has 8 classes with more than 300 students, 27 officials, teachers and staff. In the past school year, the school made great efforts to complete all the tasks set out, educational activities have changed positively and achieved higher results than the previous school year; in which, 14 students won prizes in provincial and district competitions; the school maintains the standards of the national standard school level 2… The school gathers many ethnic students with difficult and extremely difficult circumstances.

To welcome a new school year, the project gave many meaningful gifts to the students and the school, including scholarships, bicycles, books, school supplies… Contributing to this charity project, Halcom Vietnam awarded 4 scholarships with a total value of 72 million VND within 3 years to 4 students who tried their best to study well regardless of their extremely difficult circumstances.
