On the morning of August 30, the News Department (VOV1) of the Voice of Vietnam in collaboration with the People’s Committee of Van Chan District and sponsors, including Halcom Vietnam Joint Stock Company, held a ceremony to inaugurate Sai Luong Kindergarten in An Luong Commune, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province.
Attending the ceremony were representatives of the Voice of Vietnam, the People’s Committee of Van Chan District and the functional sectors, as well as the main sponsors for the kindergarten. Especially, the event saw the presence of teachers in the School Administrator of An Luong Commune Kindergarten and 20 preschool children in the joy of learning and playing at the new spacious school.
Sai Luong Kindergarten has 02 classrooms with a total area of 120m2; 01 public service room for teachers with an area of 24m2; lobby, three-level corridor and school gate, concrete yard and fence, worth the total of more than 900 million VND. Halcom Vietnam sponsored 50 million VND to build the school, along with other co-sponsors such as PetroVietnam Exploration Production Corporation (PVEP), Geleximco Group, VNPETRO, For Vietnamese Stature Foundation – Bac A Commercial Joint Stock Bank, FECON Joint Stock Company, Kim Sen, Sun Asterisk VN, 1+1>2 Architects, etc,.
Not only providing the children with new spacious, clean and well equipped classrooms, the Voice of Vietnam and the sponsors also gave them many meaningful gifts.
Ms. Hoang Thi Thanh Tuyet, Principal of An Luong Commune Kindergarten, shared with emotion: “In the past, this kindergarten was just wooden temporarily-built classrooms which suffered many damages in the wet season, causing big concerns for us on rainy and windy days. With the new kindergarten, finally we can feel peace in our heart to focus on nursing and teaching our pupils. On behalf of the school, I would like to send a big thank to the sponsors for this special gift.”
Ms. Lo Thi Thuy Nga, Vice President of Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province said: “This is a very meaningful and practical gift for teachers and pupils of An Luong Commune Kindergarten to enter the new school year, contributing to narrowing the gap in education between the plain and highland regions. We also hope that in the coming time, we will continue to receive attention and support of VOV and the sponsors to help Van Chan district complete our education tasks.”
Sai Luong Kindergarten in An Luong commune is a meaningful gift from 12 sponsors and the Voice of Vietnam for mountainous pupils in An Luong Commune, Van Chan District, Yen Bai Province. It demonstrates the social responsibility of all units and will make good conditions for teachers and pupils at the school to complete the goal of comprehensive education. This is the forth consecutive year that Halcom Vietnam has accompanied in the construction of a school site “for dear mountainous students” by the VOV1 News Department.
